| The dream of living amidst grape vines, stomping grapes and making wine is the stuff of movies. For Dr. Robert Baehner, a physician, and his wife Vickie Fournier-Baehner, a travel consultant, this dream for them developed from reality in 1999 when they found and purchased a little piece of paradise in the Santa Ynez Valley in order to be closer to Vickie’s ailing mother. |
| Before building their home on this beautiful site they decided to plant vineyards – five boutique “grape gardens” designed to take full advantage of the daily sunshine, but without sacrificing any of the numerous, beautiful and endangered Valley Oaks scattered generously over their property. Today, their home and vineyards reflect their respect and love for nature and their intent to live in balance with it while producing high quality wine grapes. They use cultivation practices which preserve the natural environment of the land and craft the finest wine possible from this special place. |
